While keeping a close watch on the market, FusionStak learned that many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and local/state government agencies are skeptical about investing in emerging technologies like BI. This skepticism is mainly due to budget constraints and a lack of knowledge since there is a heavy initial investment in BI and the outcomes are not immediate. To show the benefits that businesses can have with the use of BI, FusionStak reaches out to SMEs as well as government agencies and educates them as to how, with the help of cloud-based BI solutions, the cost of deploying BI has reduced and a quick ROI can be realized. “Our goal is to achieve a quick ROI, and help businesses deliver better services benefitting the end users,” remarks Kumar.

In an instance, FusionStak assisted a local government agency of Louisiana in transferring their data to the cloud. The company guided them through the entire process by clearing the notions associated with the cloud security and cloud-based BI solutions. FusionStak helped the agency visualize the data that included human resources population and vendor representation giving them an entirely new dimension of map-based insights and the impact they are making, which earlier with the tabular data was hard to visualize. The agency could easily demarcate the revenue that they are generating within the Louisiana county (about 60 percent) and 40 percent of their revenue coming from other parts of the U.S. Moreover, serving a client in retail, Kumar speaks about their prowess in dealing with legacy data.

In the retail sector usually, there are hundreds of legacy processes and pulling the legacy data from the clients’ system to the cloud is the one the biggest pain-points that FusionStak handles with ease.

Mentioning one such project, Kumar sheds light on their successful product CloudGavel, a CJIS compliant information technology solution, dedicated to serving the law enforcement, state and local government. CloudGavel is a cloud-based solution that provides warrant processing, document processing, and data analytics to law enforcement and judicial communities. By deploying the e-warrant system, law enforcement officers can send a warrant request from any internet-enabled device and get approval within minutes, saving the hassle of traveling. Authorities have seen a drastic reduction in time to procure a warrant from three/four hours to less than 30 minutes. CloudGavel also allows authorities to monitor spikes in warrant requests and analyze the trends of warrants issued pertaining to place and time, enabling them to deploy more officers in a specific geographical area.

With a humble beginning in 2015, FusionStak started in a room at Kumar's house. Within three years, FusionStak has recorded 200 percent growth in terms of employee expansion, from two people to about 50 people working in the U.S. and India. Going the extra mile, the company is working on geographical expansion by opening an office in Texas, as well as incorporating AI on the technological front.
